Applesauce Doughnuts





Applesauce Doughnuts

oil for frying
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. oil
1/4 c. milk
1 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients with your mixer at medium speed.
Heat your oil to 375.
Drop dough by Tbsp. into hot oil.  Cook for 3 minutes.
Drain.  Sprinkle with confectioners sugar or a mixture of sugar & cinnamon.
